With so much news of guests mistreating hotel help, especially housekeepers, it's refreshing to hear an instance where someone recognizes the hardworking employees. So kudos to big spender Zac Efron for leaving a 40 percent tip at a hotel bar.

The High School Musical star stopped by the Hard Rock San Diego to party at Float and get drunk, according to TMZ.

Of course, he ordered up some premium liquor: a bottle of Kettle One vodka for $350, a bottle of Patron Silver for another $350. He also added on a $30 six-pack of energy drinks to mix up some Red Bull-vodkas. The bill came with a $140 service charge, but generous Efron added an additional $150, bringing his check to $1,093.50.

We're guessing the servers were probably swooning after the teen heartthrob, but for once it was because of his kindness and not his abs.

Michelle Kwan

My first hotel job was at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Downtown Minneapolis. Without question, the classiest celebrity that stayed with us while I was there was figure skater Michelle Kwan.  She wrote a hand-written thank you note addressed to everyone on staff.  Before she checked out, she dropped off the note at the Front Desk and asked us to make sure that the Housekeeping staff see the note.
