While some people raise money with bikini car washes, like Octomom and some fame-hungry celebrity mistresses, Grand Wailea's Managing Director Matt Bailey really gave something of himself for charity—his hair.

To inspire the Maui resort workers to donate money to the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, which aids Hawaii nonprofits, he vowed in the beginning of the year to shave his hair if they hit a fund-raising goal of $32,000. Not only did they raise the money, they exceeded it, with donations totaling $50,000—the most raised in the state.

So last week, Bailey bravely lopped off his locks in front of his fellow employees and guests. Jeanene Sebstad, a stylist at the hotel's Spa Grande, did the buzz cut and then really gave him the Mr. Clean look with a straight razor.

According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the hotel employees went all out to raise the funds and force Bailey to cut off his hair: Security had a dunking booth; human resources auctioned parking stalls; and the reservations crew brought in a cash-for-gold dealer.
