It was a surprise when Park Hyatt Chicago's NoMI restaurant shut down in January soon after winning a coveted Michelin star. But not only is the renovated restaurant reopening today, it's now part of a new NoMI floor in the Chicago hotel.

The seventh floor of Park Hyatt Chicago has become a one-stop shop for the NoMI lifestyle, as it now houses a NoMI Spa, NoMI Lounge and NoMI Garden. But the restaurant, now called NoMI Kitchen, is still the centerpiece. The idea is that the kitchen is the hub of the home, where family and friends get together.

The restaurant's dining room and wine cellar were redesigned to be less formal and more contemporary, with wood tables with leather accents replacing the old white-tablecloth-covered tables. Plus, a new artisan cheese cave and an open kitchen were added. Formerly a French eatery, NoMI Kitchen shifts its focus to seasonal dishes using ingredients from local farmers, ranchers, cheesemakers and artisans.

Also new is the NoMI Spa. It will offer treatments influenced by the seasons and that use botanicals. Everything from the massages and other services to the post-treatment food is customized to meet each your needs. For example, custom aromatherapy is incorporated throughout the spa treatments to create a more sensory experience. And after your treatment, you'll get to nosh on small seasonal bites that use the healing property of spices, made by NoMI Kitchen executive chef Ryan LaRoche. It's all about feeding that NoMI lifestyle.
