The Nolitan Has an Opening Date! Yes, Again, But This Time It's For Real

Hell hath officially frozen over as we have good news and we have great news from the ever-delayed downtown NYC hotel, The Nolitan. The good news: there is an opening date! Straight from the horse's mouth, we have word that August 1 is the magic day, after nearly ten months of setting it back and then back again.

Now for the great news: August 1 will actually happen at The Nolitan, and introductory room rates of $289 per night are holding steady. They've got their certificate of occupancy, they'll have fresh and glossy photos up on the website soon, and it'll seem like no time until guests are sleeping right off the Bowery, around the corner from hotspot La Esquina and the Bowery Ballroom.

A note on the delayed opening, from GM Patrik Horstmann:

We are looking forward to a warm welcome this August as we open our doors for business in Nolita. We've been working long and hard to make sure we open with the best possible offering for our guests and now we are ready. Our very first guests will have the benefit of fabulous weather as they venture out into this incredible neighborhood and discover all it has to offer. Or they can just kick back on their private balconies or our rooftop and soak it all in.

True dat. Inside the rooms, the smallest of which will be 235 square feet, there'll be queen and king beds, hardwood floors (!), 37" HD TVs, an iPod-compatible sound system toiletries by Red Flower, a rain shower and separate water closet. All of this kind of pales in comparison to the ridiculously premium location, however. Now open already!
