Hotel Breakwater is Now Open, With Rates From $168 a night

Dream South Beach won the race, but only just. SoBe fans, rejoice, for Hotel Breakwater is now open!

We got word that the hotel received its go-ahead from the city and is now in soft-opening mode. Hallelujah, has it been a long time since we first started watching this site back when it was going to become the Nicky O Hotel!

Now, as the flagship property for Jordache Hotels, Breakwater can strut its stuff on Ocean Drive and use the low season to prepare for the all-important winter ahead.

Rates for tomorrow night start at just $168 a night (with tax, that comes to $205 a night), but that's for a city-view room. An oceanfront room will set you back $320 a night.

Speaking of the ocean, that's where you'll be swimming if you check in before late August--that's because Breakwater's pool is still under construction. Billed as a sexy, see-through pool that bridges the two historic buildings that make up the hotel, it may just be worth the wait.

Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to lay down and let the shock of this hotel finally being open wear off so we can begin our weekend...

Amazing rooms, hotel is truly a Gem on south beach, if you want to wake up to a wonderful Ocean view and Ocean Drive view this is by far the best place to do it.
