Taking the stage on July 1 will be '70s band Three Dog Night, whose hits include "Joy to the World" and "Shambala." The following evening, Zowie Bowie, a Vegas act that does dance, hip-hop and top 40 hits, will be featured. Capping the fest on July 3 will be singer-songwriter John Ondrasik, the man behind the Grammy-nominated "Superman."
Before each concert, the hotel will honor the military with a special Presentation of the Colors conducted by the local honor guard and a flyover. On July 2, a Black Hawk chopper will land on the fifth hole of the TPC Stadium golf course next to the hotel and you'll have a chance to check it out and meet the pilots. After each show, there will be a fireworks display. The fest will also include all-American poolside barbecues and an Uncle Sam on stilts.
Rooms for the holiday weekend start at $199, but don't feel guilty about splurging; proceeds will benefit Friends of Freedom, a nonprofit that gives scholarships to military families.
