Bring your foodie father to the kitchen of Andaz's Wall & Water restaurant for a smoked-theme cooking class on June 18. Executive chef Maximo Lopez May will teach dad how to make smoked tomato bloody Marys; borsch with smoked trout, dill and creme fraiche; smoked pheasant sausage with roasted apples; and smoked salmon with clams, chard, capers, lemon and mint. The class, which costs $120, runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Adventurous dads can get a rush on the Omni's Bretton Woods Canopy Tour, the longest zip line in New Hampshire. The hotel is offering a FOGO, or "fly one, get one," package where if you buy a zip line ticket for yourself, pops will be able to fly for free. He will be able to glide down 10 zip lines, over two suspension bridges and deep forests at an elevation of 1,000 feet.

Treat your spirits-swilling dad to a Scotch tasting. A Glenlivet ambassador will be at the Ritz-Carlton's Via Luna Wine Room and Terrace showing the difference between 15-, 16-, 18- and 21-year Scotches. Dad will also get to hear live music, hors d'oeuvres and complimentary hand-rolled cigars for the gentlemen's night out June 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. The festivities cost $75.
