In January, we gasped about the Hudson Hotel room that squeezed in up to 20 people for a mini production of the Tennessee Williams play Green Eyes. Today, we're focusing on another of their ample spaces—the exclusive, guests-only, fifteenth-floor Sky Terrace. Yes, it is quite large. And yes, the vibe is a little high-flown. But, no, we're not just telling you all this to make you jealous! It turns out that Sky Terrace, which launched its summer event series last Thursday, has chosen to open up their sought-after venue to Foursquare and Twitter enthusiasts. Because, as we have shown before, if you're not racing to reward your guests through social media promotions and contests, be assured that another equally-suitable hotel will.

Here's how this one works: guests who prove they have "checked in" to the Hudson on any day of the week will be granted access to Sky Terrace, as well as one half-off drink ticket for Kanon Organic Vodka (the hotel's main booze sponsor for the summer.) Additionally, those who tweet @kanonvodka AND @HudsonNYC by 3pm on Thursdays will appear on a guest list for the evening, plus a half-off drink ticket. Of course, if you happen to be staying at any of the NYC Morgans Hotel Group properties, you're already in.

While the airy, slightly tropical-feeling bar is open every night of the week (cocktails are served from noon until 10:30pm, though we're pretty sure the downstairs Private Park stays open later), DJs show up Thursday nights this summer to make the cool kids feel even cooler. And, seriously, what beats dancing on a terrace overlooking the Hudson River? This week's guest DJ is DJ M.O.S.—for updates on subsequent weeks, check the hotel's (you guessed it!) Twitter page.

And if we may add our two cents, we'd like to recommend the "Midsummer," which deliciously blended Kanon Vodka, St. Germain, and lemon juice. After a few of those, we were about ready to collapse for the evening into a nearby hammock...
