Wolfgang Puck to Have a Restaurant in the Soon-to-Open Hotel Bel-Air

As the Hotel Bel-Air readies for its big reopening, one of the new features of the massive renovation is a restaurant from famed chef Wolfgang Puck.

According to Eater, he will set up shop in the newly renovated hotel and call his restaurant the not-very-original Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air. At the restaurant, he'll serve contemporary California cuisine with European and Mediterranean touches.

We really dug his playful Asian fare at the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles's WP24, and many of his Cut restaurants do well. He's also set to open a CUT restaurant inside another Dorchester Collection hotel, 45 Park Lane in London, when that opens later this year as well.

If you want to get a jump on the crowds and chow down at Puck's new spot, you'll have to wait a little while. The Hotel Bel-Air's website says the hotel is set to reopen in mid-2011 although it could be even later than that. And you will have to have some cash to flash ast Eater reports room rates will start at $565 a night.
