In keeping with the rest of the drenched-in-pink hotel, the bungalows have the classic pink stucco. Each has its own private entrance; a Great Room with dining and living areas; a professional kitchen; a sun porch; a study; custom-designed furnishings and pieces from the 1920s to modern day; and three bedrooms and baths with free-standing tubs, steam showers and vanities. There's also a limestone fireplace in every room, which equals five per bungalow.
But the outside spaces might be even more of a draw: Each bungalow is surrounded by gardens and has a pool with waterfall and underwater speakers, a deck, a semi-circular lounge area with chaise lounges, a table that seats 10 and has lights for nighttime dining and entertaining, an exercise area and an outdoor shower for two—the only alfresco showers in LA—is outside the master bathroom for you exhibitionists. Plus, each of the bedrooms has a private courtyard garden space with individually keyed entry.
Of course, the presidential bungalows come with a hefty price tag: Rates are $13,610 to $15,380 per night. To book one, call 800-283-8885.
