DoubleTree and Embassy Suites Hotels Are Smelling Rather Good These Days

May 31, 2011 at 3:54 PM | by | Comments (20)

Admit it, you're a toiletry hoarder. But that's ok because we are too! And like any good hoarder, we're always on the lookout for the newest kinds of toiletries to collect.

Last week, we told you about the new Peter Roth Thomas toiletries that can be found at Hilton Hotels. Now this week, we learn that DoubleTree by Hilton and Embassy Suites Hotels are carrying two new bath and body care lines from Crabtree & Evelyn.

At DoubleTree hotels, you will now find the Citron line featuring natural extracts of lemon, honey and coriander. (Gone are the Neutrogena products.)

Embassy Suites Hotels will be carrying Crabtree & Evelyn's Naturals line which is 99 percent naturally derived from botanicals using an avocado, olive and basil formula. (The brand previously used Bloom toiletries.)

And in a day and age where many hotels have started to skimp on toiletries by providing shampoo but no conditioner or lotion, DoubleTree and Embassy Suites will be providing shampoos, conditioners, lotions and botanical facial and bath soap bars.

Soooo we probably shouldn't be doing this but we're gonna go ahead and feed your toiletry hoarding problem by giving away both the Naturals and Citron toiletries to FIVE lucky winners.

All you have to do is tell us in comments below which bath amenity you can't live without!

Five winners will be picked at random. To enter, sign-in with your HotelChatter or Facebook account and tell us which bath amenity you can't live without. Contest will close on Friday, June 3 at 5pm EST. If you're the lucky winner, we will contact you via email to let you know you've won!

Shampop!

W Bliss Spa Products

Bliss Spa products at W Hotels!!!!

Body Wash

Cocoa Butter, Nutmeg & Cardamom Creamy Body Wash

Remede anything

Their products smell like eucalyptus and their body wash has little scrubby things in it.  Pretty awesome stuff.

LOVE Great Amenities

Even when my hair is short I MUST use a conditioner, so I am very disappointed when a quality hotel "saves money" by not providing this very basic product.
BUT when a hotel not only provides the basic products, but extra products AND provides natural and GREAT aromatic products I feel like I am in a high end Spa and it makes me want to stay longer and it makes me feel very special. AND I WILL BE a repeat customer!

Fragonard

from the boutique Hotel Pulitzer in Paris!

Lotion

Always want smooth skin on vacay!

Spa 29

the spa 29 toiletries at "The Mansion on Peachtree" in Atlanta are the best. The lotion is awesome for guys because it's a good lotion without being too fragrant or feminine.

Body Wash

Not many hotels provide body wash in all their rooms, they make it like an luxury item usually in their executive floor rooms. And even if they do, they put hotel name brand stuff in regular rooms, only exec.floor rooms would have real name brand stuff.

My all time favorite is still Bvlgari white tea line in most of Ritz Carlton. Acca Kappa in some Conrads are nice as well.

Hermès D'Orange Vert by Sofitel

Lovely fresh scent, great start to the day.

Incidentally during my last stay at DoubleTree by Hilton 3 weeks ago they did not stock Crabtree & Evelyn but Bjorn Borg which was rather pedestrian.

Love Crabtree!

These products are fantastic! Conditioner is a must have, and I love that they are all(or most,at least!) natural.

La Source

La Source toiletries provided by the Hilton in Baltimore are wonderful. They smell like a day at the beach.

Fresh

as we don't get them here in UK and taking the little bottles home gives me a smelly reminder of summer in the US all year round.

Crabtree & Evely products- Super!

Looking forward to the new products- can't decide if citrus or avocado sounds best-citrus smells so good, but avocado sounds like it would be wonderful on skin- its great that they are mostly natural!   Kudos to the hotels for the new products.

Aveda!

aveda rosemary mint at the shilla jeju, south korea and hotel indigo london-paddington!

Conditioner Please :-)

Conditioner...They leave shampoo but never conditioner. I've been to motels/hotels (it's been a very long time ago) that actually had 2-in-1. Haven't seen it since. I'd be happy with separate shampoo & conditioner.

Soaps and Shampoos

Oooh, I am a sucker for hotel toiletries, especially the designer brands. Love the soaps and shampoos for almost every upscale hotel chain. Missed the Garden Botanica brand from Westin, Institute Swiss from Omni, and the brand that Renaissance used to have (forgot the name but it had lemongrass and lavender soaps). :)

Energy!!!

I can't recall which hotel I stayed at, but they carried Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Orange Ginger Energy line.  I loved it.  ALL OF IT.  Though, my favorite at any hotel is good body lotion.  I like lotion that is a little on the thicker side.  I hate when I go to a hotel and find their lotion borders of doubling as opaque water.

Amenities

Crabtree and Evelyn are my favorites and citrus scents are the best

Nice Surprise!

I just stayed last night at an Embassy Suites for the very first time.  I used the soaps (body and face), shampoo, conditioner and body lotion from the Crabtree & Evelyn Naturals line.  The conditioner was great - nice & light and did a great job - my hair feels really soft today without being flat.  The body lotion made my skin feel so soft - and it was also nice & light and had a wonderful scent.  Will definitely go to C&E to purchase some of these products...
