Mother's Day is this weekend and you need to get her something pronto. Instead of giving her another tchotchke she doesn't need or an impersonal gift card, go all out and treat her to a swanky hotel brunch. Let her feast on everything from eggs Benedict and pancakes to champagne.

Check out our top five spots for Mother's Day brunch.

· Hotel Shangri-la
Bring your mother to Santa Monica hotel for some fresh air at a poolside brunch with buttermilk pancakes, made-to-order omelets with fixings from the local farmer's market, tarragon-orange-glazed ham and minted lamb leg. Adults pay $50 and kiddies are $20.

· Trump Chicago
Before mom noshes on made-to-order sushi, corn bisque with truffles and seared halibut with pea puree and pea shoot salad, let her visit the Skyline Room for free Chanel Beauté makeover and champagne cocktails. She'll also receive a gift bag that will include a housemade pastry and more. Brunch costs $115 for adults and $25 for children under eight.

· Crosby Street Hotel

· Hotel St. Germain
This Dallas hotel will do Mom's Day with traditional brunch dishes, but mother may be more taken with the main dining room's view of the plant-filled walled garden courtyard. The meal will cost you $55 per person.

· US Grant
You have two choices at this San Diego hotel: a Saturday mother-daughter tea with fresh strawberries, housemade scones, tea sandwiches and miniature pastries (
