Last week, a small sign planted on a sidewalk called our attention to a new health-centric eatery located inside a boutique hotel. No, there was no hipster scene-y appeal, nor did the eatery have some hot celebrity chef's name attached to it. But we like to think of the Juicy Naam—a popular Long Island-based raw food and juice bar that quietly opened inside the Upper East Side's Hotel Wales last month—as Madison Avenue's answer to The Donut Plant.

The still-new superfoods superstore is tucked away on the mezzanine level of the 100-plus-year-old boutique hotel. Climb the marble staircase and make a right into the converted lounge to access a veritable emporium of juices, teas, smoothies, raw food snacks and prepared foods.

Wall-Street-analyst-turned-raw-foodist, owner Giuliana Torre attracts wealthy, health-conscious New Yorkers through custom juice cleanses that suit their specific needs. To top it off, Juicy Naam is offering yoga once a week inside the hotel space—show up at 7pm on Mondays for Naam yoga, a unique combination of Kundalini yoga and Kabbalah.

But if the $150/day personalized cleanse program is more than you were looking for, simply show up at the hotel, browse the extensive menu (we recommend putting together your own smoothie, like our winning combo of banana, honey, cacao nibs, and almond milk, $12) and soak up the hotel's tranquil, detached vibe. Not to mention fragrant—whatever flowers those were in the lobby sure smelled amazing!
