Ding, Ding, Ding: HotelTonight Adds Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a city where last-minute hotel rooms are practically de rigueur so we're relieved to see that Hotel Tonight has finally added Sin City to their mobile booking app. No more stumbling up to the front desk drunk asking if there's a room for you and your Chippendale!
HotelTonight was thinking of folks in Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix when they added Las Vegas to their app since it's just a quick flight away but HotelTonight also says folks could use the app in this way:
The app also rescues travelers whose plans change at the last minute and visitors who realize after a long night that a great hotel room could be less expensive than a cab ride to the other end of the Strip.
Hmmm...the cabs in Vegas are notorious rip-offs but we're not so sure a hotel room on HotelTonight would be less than a cab ride to the other end of the Strip.
Nevertheless, rooms can be be booked on HotelTonight up until 2am which is certainly a life-saver when you've realized that crashing with six of your friends in one room was a bad idea.
Hotels that can be booked using HotelTonight include Caesars Palace, Trump Las Vegas (which has all suites), The Palms and The Hard Rock.
HotelTonight's app has also added a new social function called, "Happening Tonight." Hotels featured on the app can send short, timely messages to users letting them know about events going on at the hotel that night or special discounts for HotelTonight users.
For example, the Hard Rock in Las Vegas is giving HT bookers a free upgrade to their newer HRH Tower while down in Miami the Sagamore is throwing in a $50 restaurant certificate. And Hotel 71 in Chicago is offering a free pair of tickets to tonight's Sox game. Happening, indeed!
