The Mandarin Oriental Paris Will Open July 15 (Please Save Us Some Cake)

Enfin! We have an opening date for The Mandarin Oriental Paris--July 17. That's when we finally be able to step inside the latest outpost from the luxury brand and eat some of that Mandarin Oriental cake.
But much like the Mandarin Oriental's designer neighbors on Rue St. Honore, staying here will cost a pretty penny. The hotel's opening offer starts at 765 euros a night. Yes, you read that correctly. But fortunately, you do get more than just a room and a nice bed.
The opening offer also includes a 300 euro credit on your room which brings the price down to 465. If you book a suite, you will get 500 euros credit on your suite. Those will go for about 1000 euros and more.
We actually could not find rooms available on July 15. In fact, the online rezzie system was only showing availability on August 1st and later. Room rates that night were starting at 865 euros a night (565 if you book the opening offer, and you'd be an idiot not to.) Hmm...last time we looked we didn't have 565 to spare. So um...bring us back some cake?
