Three Hotels That Will Pay for Your Car's Gas

The average gas price in the United States has spiked to $4, which is just 11 cents short of the record high, CNN reported, and a huge crimp in your travel budget. If the pump prices have given you sticker shock and are making you rethinking your summer travel plans (any good destinations within biking distance?), there are a number of hotels that want to sway your opinion. They are offering gas packages to get you on the road again.

Check out three hotels that offer gas relief (you know, the kind for your car).

· Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort
This Tucson hotel, about a two-hour drive from Phoenix, will reward you for staying there by giving you a $25 gas gift card for each night of your stay. As part of the Resort Value package, you'll also receive free valet parking and in-room Internet starting at $124 a night. You must book the package by July 31 for travel through December 30.

· Mayflower Park Hotel
To get you to spend the night at this Seattle hotel, you'll be gifted with a $20 Shell gas gift card. And you'll receive a card for every night you stay there. You will get free valet parking, too. The Guests Gas It Up package is good through September 30 and starts at $199 a night.

· Personality Hotels
Personality Hotels wants to lure you to its San Fran properties by giving you a complimentary $10 gas gift card for your stay as well as free valet parking with in-and-out privileges. It isn't as good as the other packages, but it is in costly San Francisco. The Get Pumped! package is good for travel through December 31.

Element Omaha also offering a Gas Card

The Element Omaha Midtown Crossing hotel is also offering a $25 Gas Card on reservations. http://www.elementomahamidtowncrossing.com/special-offers/gas-card-package/

What is all the fuss about gas prices?

This comment is not intended to scare people, in fact it will probably help to cheer you up! If we had US prices for Gas, or Petrol as we call it in UK, we would be in motoring heaven!
With current exchange rates, we are paying the equivalent of $11.78 per Gallon!!! I don't want to even think what that is in body parts!
Now how good do you feel about $4/$5?

Happy driving.
