Stash Rewards is Giving Away Thousands of Points for Its Birthday

This is fitting--Stash Rewards wants to give you a stash of points for its birthday. The loyalty program for independent hotels will turn one year old on May 20 but will celebrate the milestone all next week and, in some cases, for the rest of the month.

The year has been a good one for Stash. It's gained 146 hotel members and the title of fastest-growing loyalty program in the country. New members to the Stash family include the Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami, Tower 23 in San Diego, Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale and Grade Bay Resort in St. John, its first Caribbean partner.

If you're a member of if you've been meaning to sign up, here are some of the Stash Birthday specials going on right now:

· Stash Birthday Bonus
Earn 1,000 extra points simply for staying the night at any Stash partner hotel between May 16 and 22.

· Affinia Hotels in New York and Chicago
If you are a first-time guest at an Affinia hotel in New York or Chi-Town, you'll earn 5,000 bonus points if you book by the end of the month for travel through July. Plus, add on the 1,000 points to the Stash Birthday Bonus—if you stay May 16 to 22 dates—and you'll earn a whopping 6,000 points for one night. That equals a free evening at some of the partner hotels.

· The Lenox Hotel
Stash members who are newbies to this Boston hotel can spend the evening at the Lenox and then leave with 2,000 additional points if you reserve your room through May. Move up your stay to sometime next week and you can tack on an extra 1,000 birthday points..
