The pluses of the Yotel at Terminal 4 are many. Overall, we liked the experience. Not loved, but liked. For one, it's right inside the terminal so there's no schlepping around after a long-haul flight. You can hit the sack or the shower almost immediately after clearing customs. Checking in is just as speedy, as the receptionists were young women we'd say were "with it," and happily showed us to our itty-bitty space we'd enjoy for the next couple hours.
Cabin 5 is of the "standard category," with a single twin bed, bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, flip-up desk, stool, mirror, luggage rack, and coat hook with one hanger. The bed is elevated in its own cozy nook, accessed by a flip-down step. At the foot is the TV, and right next to your shoulder are controls for lights and heating/air conditioning. It's also not too far away from the four electrical outlets at the desk below, because working on your laptop in bed is far, far more comfortable than flipping open the sling stool and sitting at the pop-up desk.
In fact, the only time we had any issue with the extremely small size of the room, was when we were sitting at the desk, tapping away thanks to the free and fast WiFi. This is because you're smack-dab in the middle of the room and most aware of the limits.
Unlike an easyHotel, which charges fees for any extras, Yotel offers towels, TV and the heating/air conditioning complimentary with the room, as well as the aforementioned WiFi. Thank God. Partly thanks to this policy, the Yotel does not feel seedy in the least. We'd happily return, especially considering the affordable rates at this location; rooms begin at 32 GBP ($52) for a minimum four hours, or 69 GBP ($112) for a full night.
