The Nolitan is Now Opening May 11, Do We Still Care?

Same delay, different month.
The Nolitan in NYC's Nolita nabe has pushed back its opening yet another month, making it the EIGHTH TIME this hotel has been delayed and we have to say we're growing tired of this game.
The Nolitan first promised to open in May of 2010, followed by June, August, November, late November, February 15, March, and then April 4. Now the reservation's site is saying May 11 with rooms starting at an introductory rate of $289 a night for a small room with a king bed.
That's actually a very good deal if you plan on being in NYC in early May. The rate includes a 2pm check-out and free internet as well as free bikes and skateboard rentals along with daily passes to a nearby Equinox gym.
Yet aside from these free perks there's not much else that has chomping at the bit to stay here like with other downtown hotels in New York. We've gotten a sneak peek at the guestrooms before and while the deep-soaking tubs sparked some interest, we're just not sure we can get it up for the Nolitan whenever it opens.
Unless they open that rooftop of theirs the same time as the hotel rooms. Rooftops are like Viagra for hotels, especially in Manhattan.
