Has the Gramercy Park Hotel gone to hell now that Ian Schrager is no longer there? It did let someone hang out in Rose Bar in full scuba gear.

Okay, that person was Jim Carrey. But still, he looked like a fish out of water. Was it joke? Was he trying out a new character to use for his guest stint on the upcoming Office finale?

The man with the elastic face was actually there for an underwater-themed party. He donned a full wet suit with an oxygen tank, goggles and regulator, Page Six reported.

Carrey got so into the aqua man act that he kept it on even as he shot some pool. We'd think it would have been hot under all of that equipment. He even asked hotel staff members to hand out shark teeth to each table at the shindig. Hmm, maybe a new hotel amenity?
