The Chatwal Will Become a Luxury Collection Hotel Next Week

Some great news for Starwood Preferred Guest members today--The Chatwal Hotel in New York is about to become a Luxury Collection property.

We noticed the change last night as we were trolling the internet for hotels, like we usually do. And we won't have much longer to wait. The hotel will join the LC group on April 25. That means you can earn SPG points for staying here and other benefits of the SPG program.

But you best have a lot of Starpoints on hand as it's a Category 6 hotel that will cost about 20,000 to 25,000 Starpoints for a free night. Rates for a queen bedroom start at $495 on April 25 while the king rooms are $670.

We also noticed that another one of our favorite hotels has turned into a Luxury Collection property--The Liberty Hotel in Boston. That changed happened back in January and the hotel is a Category 5 hotel, costing about 12,000 to 16,000 Starpoints for one night.
