Beach Brides Battle for a Free Wedding at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale

Calling all bridezillas: Go head to head with each other in the Battle of the Beach Brides from Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel and the Westin Beach Resort & Spa, Fort Lauderdale. The first 50 brides to sign up will claw their way through the May 15 high-stakes competition to win a 75-person beach wedding at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale.

You'll get the full wedding shebang, including the event space as well as a food and beverage package—with butler-passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktail station, a four-course sit-down dinner, wedding cake and five hours of premium open bar. It's worth it just for the open bar.

Obviously, you will have to work for the free wedding. You must use your bride-to-be know-how to partake in bouquet tosses, cake-eating contests, diamond digging, cupcake eating and obstacle courses. The final battle will be a tug-of-war and will include the bridal party—so bring your bridesmaids. Bethrothed ladies must register for the event by April 26 online.

Check-in begins Sunday morning at 10 a.m., with the battle kicking off promptly at 11 a.m. The bachelorettes have the opportunity to win individual prizes, such as a Michelle Lawson photo package, custom cake by Ana Paz, Dalsimer's Wedding Day florals, Jimmy Jam full DJ and lighting for the big day. Jimmy Jam productions will run side games for spectators, bridal party and eliminated brides, just so you won't walk away empty-handed if you aren't bridezilla enough to last through the competition.
