Great news! Those $149 rooms at the upcoming Yotel Times Square are no longer impossible to find.
We put the Quikbook online reservations system through the paces today after noticing that they were selling rooms for Yotel. While there weren't any rooms available for opening night on June 1 we did find rates for June 15. Even better, the introductory rate of $149 was available! However, you must prepay for this room and there are no changes or cancellations allowed. A more flexible rate was available for $299 a night.
When we checked out the hotel's website, we were relieved to find the same thing--introductory rate of $149 as well as the more flex $299 rate and a slightly less AAA discount of $284.
But interestingly, rooms from June 1-14 were not available on either the Yotel site or Quikbook so we're guessing that June 1 opening date no longer applies.
