Where to Stay for the Tribeca Film Festival

Movie buffs are getting ready to hit up the 12-day Tribeca Film Festival from April 20 to May 1. If you plan on visiting New York City to join other movie-goers at the fest, book your hotel now�last year, the event drew 410,000 cinephiles, filmmakers and actors.

Of course, you'll want to stick close to the trendy Tribeca 'hood to be in the middle of all the action. Here are some hotels that are still open for next week's 10th annual festival.

· Greenwich Hotel
If you are a fan of actor and Tribeca Film Fest co-founder Rober De Niro, you may want to shack up at his hotel, the Greenwich. It will cost you�room start at around $495 during the fest�but you do have the chance of spotting De Niro. Jake Gyllenhaal was also recently seen there.

· Smyth Tribeca
The Smyth is a celeb magnet�it's where Kourtney and Kim Kardashian stayed during their recent time in New York to open their new Dash boutique. Rooms are available starting at $299. You'll find cheaper rates if you book directly online without using the special "TFFF" promo for the fest. Plus, Top Chef DC contestant Ed Cotton runs the kitchen at the hotel's Plein Sud.

· Tribeca Grand
The Tribeca Grand is a popular spot for the festival, with filmmaker types crowding the hotel. It helps that the hotel has its own private screening room, the Grand Screen, that itself has hosted movie premieres, like a recent one for Jane Eyre. Rooms are available starting at $329 a night.
