Mariah Carey Celebrates Her Baby Shower at the Montage Beverly Hills
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon found love at a Beverly Hills hotel, so it makes sense that husband and wife celebrate another milestone at a Beverly Hills hotel. Surprisingly, said milestone wasn't the mismatched couple's third-year glitch; instead, they headed to the Montage Beverly Hills for their baby shower.
The couple took over the hotel's Conservatory Grill for a blue-and-pink-filled party to celebrate their impending arrivals, a boy and a girl. According to People, the seasonal California-cuisine-serving restaurant had a warm, romantic vibe with cocktail tables topped with pink roses and blue hydrangeas. And to make it festive, pink and blue balloons were floating around, the servers' aprons and the napkins were color coordinated with the theme too.
Guests like American Idol judge Randy Jackson, Piers Morgan, Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco noshed on apps and pizza and sipped Angel champagne. They gifted the mommy-to-be with sets of life-sized giraffes and hand-crafted chairs, but she said her favorite present was the Always Be My Babies book from her "lambs," her weird nickname for her fans. The diva's website asked fans to submit letters and photos to the twins to be placed in the book.
The family-friendly Montage was a good pick for the baby shower. We're guessing Mariah will bring the kiddies there when they are a little older to take advantage of its Paintbox program while she goes to the spa for cougar upkeep.
