· Peninsula Hotels
If you stay at a Peninsula Hotel in Asia or the U.S., you can partake in the company's Hope for Japan plan. As part of the initiative, the company will make a donation for each guest who shacks up at the hotel, and you can make your own contribution by having it put on your credit card at checkout. You can also get a cuppa at the special $50 Japanese afternoon tea or buy one of the origami cranes in the lobby for a minimum $5 donation. All funds raised will go to relief efforts.
· Le Parc Suite Hotel
For every 10 bucks you donate to the Red Cross, West Hollywood's Le Parc will enter you to win a five-night Helping Hands, Happy Hearts package, which includes, round-trip limo service to and from LAX, a five-day car rental, a $100 gift card to The Grove, breakfast daily at Knoll, valet parking and two engraved Le Parc bathrobes. Just make a donation, save the receipt, then post on the hotel's Facebook that you've made a contribution. The hotel will announce the winner on April 15 on its Facebook page.
· The Jefferson
To pay homage to D.C.'s gorgeous cherry trees, a gift from the mayor of Tokyo, the Jefferson's Quill lounge will mix up the Hanami Hibiscus Cherry Martini, made with an orange segment, one teaspoon of granulated sugar, an ounce of hibiscus flower infusion, an ounce of pre-made cherry mix, one ounce of lemongrass-cinnamon-infused vodka, a dash of Licor 42, prosecco and garnished with vanilla cotton candy and fresh cherry blossoms. Fifty percent of the revenue from the $19 drink will go to Red Cross relief efforts.
