Hot showers, toilets, phone charger points and security guards are included, which is probably a good thing as the camp site could potentially hold 10,000 people. Plus the locals have been kicking up a storm and you know how protective people can be over their neighbourhood.
Camp Royale also caterers for those who want more of a Royal experience with its Glamping Packages. The Glamping Package includes accommodation in a Hotel Bell Tent, which comes in two sizes: the 5 metre suite and the 4 metre room. The “suite” sleeps 6 people on airbeds whereas the standard “rooms” sleep 4. You’ll also get a mat for your shoes, tea-light chandeliers, side tables, lanterns, sheep skin rugs, a duvet set and 24-hour manned reception.
But before you book, check out the price tag; glamping will set you back £1500 for the “suite” and £1100 for the “hotel room”.
And to be brutally honest if you're going to pay that much it might be worth checking out the budget hotels and hostels first, especially as Clapham isn’t even that near to the Royal Wedding. It takes approx 35mins via bus to Westminster Abbey. Not only that, we all know how unpredictable the English weather can be and camping for three days in rain is not our idea of fun!
Camp Royale is open from April 28th - May 1st. Book online now.
