'Mad Money's' Jim Cramer Hawks 'Executive Boutique Inn' in Jersey

It's not uncommon for celebrities to get into the hotel game but a famous TV money manager? That's new to us! But should you ever find yourself in the leafy suburb of Summit, New Jersey, "Mad Money's" Jim Cramer will welcome you to The DeBary Inn, a sort of bed and breakfast spot that's billed as an "executive boutique inn."

While there's nary a mention of of Jim Cramer's name on the inn's website site, the top banner of the page features Cramer doing his tough money manager crossed-arms pose. And there's also an "As seen on the Martha Stewart Show" link. When we clicked that link, it took us to the Martha Stewart website where there was a video of Cramer doing a hard sell on the Debary Inn from last March.

So is this joint up to corporate snuff? Considering that we've spent a lot of time in Summit (ok, we grew up there), we've never really heard of the DeBary as a place to stay. But maybe Jim has breathed some new life into it.

Some positives for investing in a stay at DeBary? The WiFi is free, you can watch CNBC on flat-screen TVs, there's early check-in and late check-out, private bathrooms so no sharing with other executive strangers down the hall and if you present any hotel rewards card for a three night stay, you can get the fourth night free. (There's also the bonus of a land line telephone! Corporate executives don't trust cellphones we guess)

Additionally, the reviews on TripAdvisor are good enough that we think the risk involved is pretty low.

The turnoffs? It's in the 'burbs of NJ where the only exciting thing going on is the Short Hills Mall about five minutes away. NYC is close-ish, about a 45 minute train ride, 30 minutes if you can get the peak-hour express train. However, Jets coach Rex Ryan also lives in town and Donald Trump has been known to dine at the Roots steakhouse in downtown Summit.

Jim also blabs in the video on Martha Stewart that they use Martha Stewart champagne ice buckets in the guest rooms as well as 500 thread count Martha Stewart linens. Hmm...executives might be used to something a little softer than that.

Rates at the Debary start at just $139 a night. And if you have a real problem during your stay, Jim lives just a few blocks away from the inn.
