theWit Chicago Needs an On-Air Reporter for Its Web Show

If your dazzling persona makes Ryan Seacrest look like an American Idol reject that even JLo wouldn't feel sympathy for, theWit wants to hire you. The Chicago hotel is hunting for someone who can jump in front of the camera for its "Witisodes" Web series.

As the hotel's correspondent, you'd get to head out into the field to cover Chicago's 'hoods and various events going on around town. theWit is looking for someone with a sparkling personality and wit for the second season of its monthly series.

And while the camera face time might be enough of an incentive for you to apply, you'll get a food and beverage stipend to use at the property, some free overnight stays and a $150 paycheck. They had us at the free food, cocktails and hotel rooms.

To enter, submit a 60- to 90-second video that shows off your on-camera skills; there must be one clip of you interviewing or interacting with someone. Then email it as a YouSendIt or Vimeo link to csantarelli@thewithotel.com. Entries are due March 24, so get crackin'. Ten finalists will be chosen March 25, and their demos will be shown at the hotel's Screen room before a panel of judges on March 29. If you are selected as the star, you'll start mugging for the camera in April.

I'm ready for my close-up....

Sounds fun. Is that 60 to 90 sec time frame to showcase your skills a hard and fast rule? Mr. Deville would say that is hardly enough time to even get a dramatic close-up in for a true star/starlet! Lol.
