Two Last-Minute Hotels to Go Green for Chicago's St. Patrick's Day Festivities

If you plan on hitting up Chicago's Saint Patrick's Day Parade tomorrow but didn't reserve your hotel yet, the luck of the Irish must be on your side. The Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel, which is right off the parade route's end at South Columbus Drive and Balbo Drive, still has last-minute rooms available.

The Blackstone is a perfect location; you can watch the parade wrap up and then bring the party back to the hotel. Rooms are available starting at $179 for St. Paddy's Day.

Another Windy City tradition on parade day is dyeing the Chicago River. For the holiday, the river turns a brilliant shade of green. If you'd rather be based near the river to watch it turn the funky hue, check out the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago.

It may be too late to gather up about 39 of your closest friends and reserve one of the 17th-floor skyboxes that offer an aerial view of the river. But you can still pony up to the hotel's Rebar, down some Shamrockatinis and still get a killer view of the weird-looking river. Rooms at the Trump are available starting at $395 in case those Shamrockatinis hit you hard.
