No More East London Valentine Loving: Avo Hotel Delays Its Opening Until March

Another day, another hotel delay. We just heard that the Avo Hotel which had a planned opening date of Valentine’s Day, has pushed back its opening date to March.

The hotel's website is accepting reservations from 1 March, when rooms start at a reasonable £79 for a double, £89 for a king or £99 for a king suite.

Also available for pre-order: a basket of fruit (£10), flowers (£15) or a 15 minute in-room head massage (£10). Just what you want after a stressful journey on the Tube.

We have to say that we were initially skeptical of even a March opening date, because of the work that had to be done, but by the looks of this photo we were sent today, the rooms (or at least one room) are looking pretty much complete. And now we've had a peek at the decor, we rather like it - simple but not uninteresting color scheme and we quite like the solar eclipse pictures on the wall.

Just one thing - the room looks pretty small. Is the TV really in the bathroom? Is the bathroom actually in the bedroom? We're hoping there's a door out of shot, there.

Guess we'll find out in March.
