Hyatt 48Lex Now Aiming for April 2011 Opening

Another Monday, another bit of juicy New York hotel opening gossip! This week, we're zeroing in on the Hyatt 48Lex, the mysterious, 116-room hotel that—last we heard from the company anyway—was set to open "early next year," meaning 2011.
Now, notes an anonymous tipster, it's popped up on Hyatt's corporate booking site—but only if you search generally for New York properties like the nearby Grand Hyatt or the Andaz 5th or Wall Street. While there's no booking available yet, and thus no idea of the price point, we're promised an opening date of April, already a bit later than what we'd consider "early" in the year.
Delays or no, we're bordering on giddy to see what this could be, whether that's a unique, New York-only take on the larger Hyatt brand or a test run at a new concept. From Hyatt, here's what to expect when it finally opens:
The hotel will feature floor to ceiling windows in all guest rooms as a result of glass curtain wall construction plus gracious layouts, a butler’s pantry and the latest in-room technology. The hotel will include a hearty American bistro fare restaurant, executive board rooms equipped with the latest audio and video technology, and a fitness center.
