The Yelp word is generally positive, with a few, credible reviews generally liking the vibe and food, despite the slightly terrifying mural of a skeleton in a zoot suit that marks the front of the room. Says one reviewer:
Best it has looked since it opened 2 restaurants ago, maybe this lounge thing will work.
Urban Daddy reports that the spot is best as an intermezzo:
You’ll want to incorporate this spot as a before, after or in-between option for when you find yourself turned around in the Bowery. A place where you’ll order up the namesake cocktail (scotch, sweet vermouth and Parfait d’Amour), pair it with some Mini Short Rib Sandwiches and make yourself at home on a broken-in vintage couch for a few hours.
One under-reported upside here is that reservations are for hotel guests only; that's a major plus.
