Try These Three Hotel Furniture Sales to Help Redecorate Your Home

If you plan on giving your abode a makeover for spring, you can add a booth that the Rat Pack dined in frequently or even a chair that Elvis Presley may have have used. No fewer than six hotels—Ambassador East, the Prince De Galles Hotel and three of the hotels at Las Vegas' City Center—are doing some spring cleaning and selling off their goods.

In Paris, the art deco Prince de Galles hotel is getting rid of its goods to prep for its renovation. The 1928 hotel, whose high-profile guests have included Winston Churchill, Marlene Dietrich and the King of Rock 'n' Roll, will auction off arm chairs, chests of drawers, lamps, mirrors and more.

At Chicago's Ambassador East, you could get a tissue holder for a buck or the bar from the old Hollywood haunt the Pump Room for a mere $10,500. Sinatra and the Rat Pack's fave booth is going for $4,500. But the best artifact is the famed booth one—it was used by movie stars like Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall and Judy Garland. The booth, which is tricked out with its own private phone, will be part of a sealed-bid auction. Everything must go, since Ian Schrager is taking over the hotel and giving it an overhaul.

If your interior design tastes lean more contemporary, you can check out the furniture and other items up on the chopping block at CityCenter. You can snag scales and vanity mirrors, lamps, art, sofas and chairs from Aria, Vdara and the Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas. The Vegas hotel aren't being updated; items for sale are model samples, display pieces and showroom samples. However, some may have minor nicks, so be forewarned.

The Ambassador East's sale runs through March 1, and the Prince de Galles auction will take place February 26 to 27. To bid on CityCenter's goods, do so online today starting at 11 a.m. PST.
