Stay One Night, Stay On For $18 At The Sheraton Lincoln Harbor
What you lose in convenience, you make up for in views (the hotel is just to the right of the harbor here)
All things being equal, we’d really like to stay in Manhattan when we next find ourselves in New York, but if anything can haul us over to Jersey, it’d be an offer like the one the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor is currently running.
To celebrate its $18m renovation, it’s running an awesome, 18-day strong deal where, if you book one night at the hotel at full price, you can add another one on for just $18.
There’s a little bit of small print: it’s only valid for Thursday – Saturday arrivals, and you must check out by Sunday, but if you're after a weekend in New York, this could well be your perfect option. Also, you have to book over the phone – the deal doesn’t show up on the website, even when you enter the correct promo code (18LTO).
We called the hotel yesterday and ran through a few dates, all of which worked, so availability appears to be there at the time of writing. But make it snappy – the promo actually began on Friday, so you have until March 7 to book (although you can stay beyond that date).
And if you’re concerned about location, remember, you get perfect views of the Manhattan skyline by staying in Jersey (this picture, taken from a room in the hotel, should be enough to persuade you). Also, the hotel’s a five minute ferry ride from Midtown, which beats a PATH train. Just think of it as an alternative to a jaunt on the Staten Island ferry.
