What should we expect? The Telegraph reports that the new brand "will be positioned between Crowne Plaza and the luxury InterContinental brand," but we still don't have a name, which given the speed of change in China probably isn't really a stumbling block. Indeed, the company is predicting that China will be the biggest hotel market in the word by 2025, so launching the brand now is a play for the future.
With revenues in China up more than 25% over 2009, it looks like it'll be a smart one.
