We previously reported on the celebrity ruckus raised at London's swanky May Fair involving a former Spice Girl. In addition to being a playground for celebrity guests and socialite scenesters, the May Fair is also billed the Official Hotel of London Fashion Week, which kicks off this Friday, February 18th at Somerset House. Leather and platform bootie-clad models and their hangers-on are sure to be seen in and around the hotel, which has curated an entire Fashion Week experience for its guests.
Log onto the May Fair's website and you can view exclusive videos shot at the hotel related to this week's sartorial happenings. A special LFW menu has also been crafted for the occasion, ripe for editrixes and style bloggers to fuel up on in-between shows.
Predictably, a Fashion Week package has been thrown into the mix as well, but when we called to check on availability, were told that no rooms part of the shopping-spa-stay rate were available. A shame, but King Deluxe rooms—kitted out with marble bathrooms and Bang & Olufsen electronics—starting at £229-479 were available. Rubbing shoulders with the couture crowd is not an exercise in frugality, after all. But, hey, at least there's free Wi-Fi.
