One Week to Go for Mondrian Soho, The Fashion Pack Has Already Descended

It may be a week yet until we can spend the night at the Mondrian Soho, but the place is already hosting thanks to Fashion Week parties at the appropriately buzzy Mr. H, Armin Armiri's "Chinatown-themed" nightspot that's soft opening the hotel with a hefty dose of fashion celeb cachet.
Saturday night's Prabal Gurung after-party saw Mondrian's chef Sam Talbot in the crowd, as well as Barbara Bush and J. Crew creative director Jenna Lyons. (The neon "no prostitutes" sign is probably the most-Twitpic'd and Tumbl'd design feature of the still-to-open-to-plebes bar.)
The hotel itself looks to still be on track for opening night next week. Introductory rates for the 22nd start at just $239 with the promo code SPINTR, with suites starting at $516. As for Talbot's restaurant, Imperial No. 9, we're hearing an opening date of March 1—and promising things about BBQs in "the panoramic 26th floor Penthouse [with] its 1,500-square-foot outdoor deck and a view of everything that counts."
