Hotel Palomar San Francisco's Fifth Floor bar is kind of like the one from Cheers. Only, instead of it being where everyone knows your name, it wants to be where everyone knows your drink.

No need to order a straight Manhattan or martini here. The bar has put a Cocktail Consultation on its menu, where the bartender will custom-make a libation for you and then keep it on file for future visits.

The way it works is that when you sit down, the bartender will ask you what kind of flavors you like—if you prefer something fruitier, or more spirit-forward, and whether you have a specific spirit in mind. From there, they'll craft a cocktail to best suit your thirst. Hint: if you're overwhelmed by the possibilities and don't know which to choose, lean towards classic cocktails, since they are the specialty of head mixologist Morgan Young.

The cost depends on what crazy concoction the bartender mixes up, but it's usually between $10 and $13. Not a bad price at all for a drink designed just for your lips.
