Which Japanese Hotel Bathroom Is Ashton Kutcher Hot For?

Ashton Kutcher grossed out America when he appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno recently and went all TMI, saying that he enjoyed peeing in his backyard, but we're more interested in another one of his bathroom habits. Demi Moore's hubby revealed that he and the Mrs. were inspired by a Japanese hotel lavatory.

He didn't name the hotel, but its cool high-tech toilet prompted the Kutcher clan to buy one, albeit one not as fancy, for their home. Kutcher said the Japanese john does so much, "It’ll pick up the phone for you." "The seat goes up and down, it knows that you're there," he said. "It's like magical. I'm not kidding—it says, 'Thank you,' after you go."

We're wondering which hotel loo impressed the couple. The Peninsula Tokyo has a crazy bathroom with its own toilet control panel, see above, with butt illustrations on the buttons. Then again, the Park Hyatt Shanghai's electric potty lifts its lid by itself. Either way, will Japanese loos become the next celeb craze, or will this be one trend that goes down the toilet?

Not just the Park Hyatt Shanghai...

Stayed at the Pen Tokyo and yes, the toilet seat lifts up automatically too when it senses movement. The heated flooring too is a plus when the chill sets in.
