The tree and moving diorama in Hermitage's lobby.
It all begins on Christmas Eve, when parents and two kids (under 12) check into their two adjoining rooms. The kids' room will be decorated with its own Christmas Tree. Then from 4.pm, the families are invited to attend a Christmas Tea in the hotel's Salle Belle Epoque (a breathtaking ballroom if ever there was one.)
Kids will be able to make homemade gifts and tree decorations (from recyclable materials) and nibble on pastries and other yummy snacks. Once they're bored with all the craft, they can board Father Christmas's carriage for a ride around Monte Carlo's Place du Casino (which, of course, is currently ablaze with beautiful holiday lights).
During the Christmas Eve Dinner, served in the Salle Belle Epoque, Santa will slip into the kids' rooms upstairs and leave gifts from Hotel Hermitage under the tree.
Parents will be glad to know that they get a treat too, in the form of the 'Cercle Monte-Carlo' card, which gives them free access to the Casino de Monte-Carlo and shuttles to other SBM properties.
The Family Christmas Deal is available on Christmas Eve from 640 euros.

P.S. We'd check in for the smell alone. The entire hotel smells of a signature scent called 'Christmas Tree' by Dr. Vranjes, Firenze. Yum!
