True to its concept, Aloft has a re:fuel grab-and-go area and w xyz bar on the ground floor. A gym and small pool can also be found here. If you are looking for something a little more substantial to eat, FEDE restaurant next to the hotel is directly accessible from the mezzanine level. Free wi-fi is available throughout the hotel. (Phew, the hotel won't be called out here.)
We saw a standard double queen room, which was quite spacious and looked very much like what you see on the website (unfortunately we were not able to pictures here). Walking in, the bathroom was immediately to our right. A first section, creating a bit of a studio apartment feel, is open to the rest of the room with a sink, mirror, coffee/tea-making facilities, a wardrobe, and shelves with a few magazines.
A proper door then leads to the shower/bathtub and toilet. Continuing straight ahead, two queen beds were again to our right, set against the wall that divides the main room from the open part of the bathroom. A desk and bench complete the room. All in all, pretty standard Aloft rooms.
At roughly $150, the rooms are good value for London. Do keep in mind however that if you are coming to London as a tourist and plan to spend your time in areas such as the West End, Mayfair, and Soho, you are a good half hour journey away.
