Obama Receives A Special Guest From The W Hotel. Again.

For the second year in a row, the W Washington DC graciously offered to host the lucky turkey that had been spared his 400°F fate. The turkey traveled from Pennsylvania to Washington DC in order to get pardoned by the President himself, and while in town, got to spend the night at the hotel. Pet-friendly amenities and all.

A custom room was offered up to the turkey, including: added sawdust on the floor as well as a W-branded "munchie box" filled with soy, corn and cranberries. Wow, they really step it up for these birds! We can't remember the last time a hotel modified its regular room service menu options for us. Though we're pretty sure it involved some sort of extra fee.

Just like it's been for the past 100 years, the turkeys travel up to DC to get pardoned by the President (and, in this case, the President's two daughters, Sasha and Malia), after which they are free to spend their days roaming the farm in Mount Vernon, VA. Again, we feel as though we humans are getting the short end of the stick here. Wouldn't you like to be on the receiving end of a Presidential Pardon, flown out to an all-expenses-paid trip at the W Hotel, and commanded to take a long, long vacation out in the country? Yeah, we thought so. In the meantime, I suppose, we can just take our revenge on the dinner table tomorrow afternoon. Watch out, little guy. Your cousin in Pennsylvania might have lucked out, but we don't think you'll be getting off so easy.
