Welcome to our newest new feature, Design Thursdays! Thursdays are now our day to focus on hotel design through photo tours, video walk-throughs and interviews with hotel designers. Got a cool hotel design story we should know about? Let us know.

Hey there aspiring interior designers! Eager to get into the world of interior design or decorating but watching reruns of "Top Design" and "Million Dollar Designers" isn't cutting it? Then consider heading to the Greenbrier Hotel in West Virgina for their new one-week interior decorating courses named after the hotel's legendary decorator, Dorothy Draper.

The Dorothy Draper School of Decorating will offer limited enrollment for the weeks of February 26, March 25, April 29 and June 10. The classes will be specially created by Carleton Varney, the curator of The Greenbrier who was also Dorothy Draper's protege and who is current president of Dorothy Draper and company. Here's a bit on the class syllabus:

Students will explore the art of creating bold interiors with 20 hours of class time, including two-hour morning and two-hour afternoon sessions in such subjects as "Around the House, Around the World," "Creating the Wow Factor," "Putting Your Home Together Symphonically," "Tools & No Rules" and many more. And outside of "class," guests will have time to relax and enjoy The Greenbrier's many amenities, including afternoon tea and special receptions for "The Dorothy Draper School of Decorating." And at the end of the course, students will return home from The Greenbrier with the tools to help them redesign their own personal spaces.

The Greenbrier resort was once weighed down by some of its 60s-style blend of pastels, wicker and floral prints but a few years ago it got a much-needed injection of modern style in the public spaces. So it's a perfect setting to teach aspiring decorators how to incorporate new with old.

However, you will need some cash to attend this school. The enrollment fee is $5,000 (with a $1,000 advance deposit.) This doesn't include a hotel room but five-night packages are available starting at $1847 and which include airport transfers from Lewisburg, breakfasts, lunches and group receptions.

Got any questions about the school? Raise your hand and then visit www.dorothydraper.com/school.html or call 304-536-5319.
