The gentle (relatively speaking) mood lighting, high ceilings and empty chaise lounges made for the perfect Sunday morning lie-in—albeit 32 floors above one of the east coast's most bustling casino cities. Another thing that helped soothe our senses?
At around 7am, drying off after our jacuzzi soak, we watched the sun come up over the Taj Mahal (casino, that is), piercing the sky with bright streaks of orange and pink. Now, that's what we call mood lighting!
Later in the day, before checkout, we stopped by the ground-floor indoor pool (above), which doesn't open until 9am. This oasis is located directly off the lobby, and, similar to the Immersion pool, boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that pour in plenty of light. Though not quite as moody, the pool's over-abundance of flora certainly made it one of the most verdant pools we've ever seen.
If you happen to feel snackish while you're lounging, an extensive menu of wine, beer, cocktails, tea, sandwiches and dessert is available.
Disclosure: We stayed here as a guest of The Water Club, but all photos and opinions are completely our own.
