The Hotel Bikini Trend Continues, Now Starring Trina Turk

When it rains, it pours and right now in Turks & Caicos hotel land, it's raining bikinis. Designer bikinis inspired by luxury resorts, that is.

Yesterday, we told you about Heidi Klein's Parrot Cay-inspired collection--but there's a real resortwear star hot on her heels, too. Trina Turk's collaboration with another TCI property, Grace Bay Club, hits stores on December 15. It's called--of course--the Trina Turks & Caicos collection and is the first designer collabo for the resort.

Turk's tunics in tropical colors are already go-to items for jetsetting in the Caribbean so this is a match made in destination heaven.

Says Trina of her work on the pretty pieces:

“I drew inspiration from Turks’ translucent blue waters, white sand beaches and the terracotta Mediterranean-style architecture, and the result is a captivating print that embodies the brilliant color palette and unmistakable optimism found in both the Caribbean and California beach locales.”

Might we suggest you pair the nine-piece capsule collection (priced from $76–$204) with a pedicure in Essie's Turquoise & Caicos nail color?

Club Med did this with Rosa Cha back in 2005, when they launched an exclusive collection for their four new luxury properties. The suits were cute. Wonder if they're still around or if they continued the line. I like the Trina Turk ones. I also want the christian loubotin shoes designed for One&Only resorts. Yes PLEASE!
