'How to Make it in America' Has The NYC Hotel Hierarchy Listed

"How to Make it in America" is back on HBO for its second season and while Rachel is no longer dating the bisexual hotelier, the boys of Crisp--Cam and Ben--have the NYC hotel party scene all, ahem, sewn up.

When two fashion buyers from Gadzooks in St. Louis come into town looking for fashion ideas and wild parties, they get a little lesson on what's hot and what's not in the hotel world.

The girls first tried to get into the Boom Boom Room at The Standard but despite offering to fellatiate a doorman (ew), they got turned away. One of the girls says, "I knew we should have stayed at The Standard. All the guys at The Mondrian (Soho) are busted." Actually, staying at The Standard probably would not increase their chances of getting in as the Boom Boom Room is members-only.

Later on, Cam and Ben approach the girls as they are leaving the Mondrian to try once again to get into Boom Boom Room but Cam tells the girls not to go saying the Standard is "cornball city." Instead, Cam and Ben tell the girls the place to be is actually The Jane.

Cue the girls and guys downing bottles and dancing on sofas at the Jane Ballroom for the evening. Interesting.

Just remember, while you may want to party at the Jane, you don't want to sleep there. We'd take a room at the Mondrian or Standard over the Jane any day. Actually, every day.
