'The Hotel Fixer' Reality Show is Set to Debut on The Travel Channel

October 5, 2011 at 1:05 PM | by | Comments (2)

Remember when we told you that Gordon Ramsay would have some real competition for his "Hotel Hell" reality show? Well, the mysterious Hotel Fixer, an actual hotel consultant who has worked with big-time properties across the U.S., will be showing off his talent on The Travel Channel.

The show will feature independently-owned hotels in America who are in need of some TLC--both the design and financial kind. But if your hotel is within 60 miles of NYC, you might have a better shot of getting on the show as we're hearing hotels with proximity to the Big Apple are a priority*.

Still no word on who the Hotel Fixer actually is and still no word on what the show will be called, but we're dying with anticipation to find out.

If you're a hotel owner who's interested in being "fixed up", check out the casting call right here.

*That's the Waldorf-Astoria pictured in the photo above, a property that could certainly use some help from the Hotel Fixer.

Hotel Fixer or Mr Hospitality?

Just found this old casting call from April where the expert is referred to as Mr. Hospitality:

Every 60-minute episode of Mr. Hospitality features a hotel fighting for its survival. Our expert secretly scouts the property, identifying the 3 factors holding the business back! Mr. H then meets with management to determine if the problems stem from the top down. After meeting with every level of the staff he whips them into shape. In the end - after improving everything from the service to the décor - he moves on to his next troubled assignment.

OLD INFO

Apparently, that's really old info and is not how the Hotel Fixer show is going to be set up. Disregard!
