New Hotels That Are Coming To NYC: Updated

In anticipation of our annual Best Hotels In NYC list (going up tomorrow!), we thought it would be good to compile all the NYC hotels we expect to see open in the coming months. Hey, we gotta use something to pull us through those gloomy New York winter months—they can be killer!

Starting things off in midtown, we can fairly certainly expect the new Tryp By Wyndham to go up in the next month or two. Construction has been coming along nicely (we recently spotted its wood-paneled lobby and brand new revolving door), and though they've missed their targeted October opening, we don't see why this "cosmopolitan" brand couldn't open in time for the holidays. Meanwhile, over on 36th St, as reported earlier, Spring 2012 will see the opening of a Hyatt Place and an unnamed "boutique hotel."

Speaking of Hyatt, we can't forget the impending tower of doom condo-erriffic Park Hyatt going up on 57th St between Sixth and and Seventh Avenues. (Even if we did want to forget about it, it would be hard—the all-glass 90-story tower will undoubtedly become a new part of the Manhattan skyline.)

Elsewhere in Manhattan, Hyatt is also domineering putting the finishing touched on its 175-room Hyatt Union Square. We're not sure what to expect with this one. It won't have the intimacy or diplomat appeal) of its uptown sister Hyatt 48Lex, though Curbed has already pointed out the planned bamboo gardens. Classy!

Of course, we discovered the other week that the Conrad New York will be sticking to its February opening. Consider it Tribeca's answer to the all-suite hotel. With food from Union Square. And milkshakes from the heavens above.

Over in Brooklyn, first-time hotelier DJ Bijal is still putting the final touches on his "dreamy" masterpiece Hotel BPM. But the hotel's been posting pretty regular snapshots on Twitter from the final sages of construction (green banisters, stationary, etc), and last Thursday mentioned the hotel has already begin planning for the grand opening party.
