Soon to Be on Hotel Room Tables: Jetsetter's New 'Bon Voyage' Book

It seems like only yesterday we were freaking out over the launch of flash hotel sale site Jetsetter.com. From the people of Gilt Groupe—who deal mainly in luxury fashion, discounted—Jetsetter hit the online travel booking scene with a bang in late 2009 and has since inspired several spin-off sites.

Celebrating two years in business and the continuing expansion of their offerings (it's not just hotels anymore, but also villa rentals, cruises and adventure experiences), they've done what every design-focused successful company does one day or another; they've printed a big, beautiful coffee table book called "Bon Voyage." It's funny to note that the 12"x12" boxed book is a collab with Partners & Spade and made in Iceland—a country we thought only produced pretty people and awful ash clouds these days.

Instead of naming specific hotels, the book focuses on destinations where they regularly offer hotel sales. There are 24 destinations total (like Rio, India, Shanghai, Bali and the Maldives) and it cleverly progresses in order of what place is best to visit at what time of the year.

And like a proper coffee table book, this 8.8lb tome will be up for sale at The Standard New York's gift shop beginning in November, though it's already available here on Jetsetter, naturally. It's $199 so it's not cheap, but it does include a travel journal and a certificate to experience one trip's worth of personal travel planning—another of Jetsetter's newer features—usually priced at $200 on its own.

We assume that everyone has access to the private sale site by now, but if you run into a "sign up" wall on Jetsetter, here's a link to get through right away.
